Beady eyed bird looking for collectables and design stuff
So yes, I posted a blog yesterday for the first time since last July, and that gap made me feel really truly dreadful – where on earth does the time go?! I’ve been very lazy it would seem on the blogging front, so my resolution for the year is to blog more (and cross stitch more – along with about a billion other things!)
Its been a busy few months for me and the Beaven, at the end of July we discovered that I was pregnant, and we also had a house move happening; uprooting ourselves from Bedford to shiny Letchworth Garden City.
In order to make up for the lack of posts, I’m planning a number of blogs about our new house and how we are managing to do it up, especially with a little sprog on the way, as well as a number of posts about just how awesome Letchworth is… sleepy, but fairly awesome.
For anyone who doesn’t know, Letchworth was founded by Ebenezer Howard and was the first Garden City to be created in the UK after the first world war. It was conceived as a kind of suburban Utopia, a place to enable families to live outside of crowded London, with good infrastructure, loads of green space and a bit of a personality too.
It was also the setting for the recent Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Edgar Wright film The World’s End which, as a Pegg/Frost fan since waaaaaay back, is also pretty damned cool. I’ll be taking lots of pictures of the town and architecture for posts coming up, at least, I will when the weather picks up!
So expect some more posts soon!
